Some people have asked about how to get involved in passing on their knowledge to the next generation. The BSA Jamboree now taking place at Fort AP Hill has a very nice website [url=http://www.bsajamboree.org.:44f38]www.bsajamboree.org.[/url:44f38] If you go to news and facts there is an article on the July 28th link about their fishing/fly fishing program. 11-14 year old kids participating by their choice can be a real joy to teach.
On a different note. I put my youngest on a bus last Thursday to attend the jamboree in Virginia. The tragedy on Monday hit all scouters pretty hard. No one tries to make mistakes, but the thought of those leaders deaths being witnessed by their children is especially horrific.
Coach Robb,
We have six boys from our troop and 194 from
the Council at the Jamboree.
There is a memorial fund set up for the
families that lost loved ones.
If anyone wants to make a donation, I am sure you can contact your local BSA office
to find out where to send it.
