box of random hair peices

Hi everyone,

I am headed off to college this saturday and have been packing up all my fly tying stuff to take with me. Anyway, I have a bunch of hair that I have a surplus of and would like to get rid of.

There is a lot of random peices including dyed deer hair, natural deer hair, some rabbit, sheep, goat, elk, caribou, and other hairs. Most patches are atleast slightly used, while many are untouched.

$20 plus shipping if anyone is interested. I’d consider anyone’s offers or trades as well.

The box is about 4"x4"x10" and packed full. Sorry, but I do not have any pictures.

Thank You,

Don Kelly

Don, congratulations on getting to college. And here I thought you were going to work in that bait shop for the rest of your life (grin). Seriously, way to go, and remember my rule. NO PARTYING! If only I had followed that one…
Eric

Hi Don,

Good luck at ________(?) College.

Allan

Skilled Fisherman,

I’m not in need of any random hair pieces, except perhaps for my head. Good luck with college–study hard! 8T

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

There’s nothing wrong with an “occasional” party.

Don, RW here,

Nice hearing from you. Good luck in college. Be nice if you could get up to the roscoe fish-in for a couple days next year and renew old aquaintences.

Later, RW

Its nice to hear from all of you again. Ive been so busy this summer that Ive hardly paid attention to the boards. I am headed up to Mansfield University to study fisheries biology. I figured if I have to work and go to school I might as well enjoy it.

Eaustin, Partying in moderation is OK G. My cousin failed out of college because of too much of it though. But why party when you can fish?

RW, tyeflies- I am hoping to make another Roscoe fish-in. Its such a nice area up there. I’ll keep in touch.

Don

Eric,

The bait shop was actually sold and could possibly turn into a daycare. The end of an era I suppose. I’ve been workin at Orvis since last November too though.

Don

Don,

You’re going to Mansfield, huh. Only about 1/2 hour away. Do well. Next year you certainly will be finished with spring classes at the time of the Fish-In, unless you have tri-mester scheduling. Keep in touch.

Allan

Good luck Don, you’ll find the “college years” to be some of the best of your life. From what I’ve seen of you on the various websites, you’re a serious guy who knows how to have fun without overdoing…you’ll do well in school. You’re Major sounds like just the ticket.

Keep us up to date.

How much longer will you be with Orvis? I have a son that travels that area, maybe he’ll be able to stop in some time and rap.

Snow on the roof but with fire still in the hearth

Silvertop,

I technically have a job there as long as I want. However, I stopped working there at the start of August. I decided to take a month off and go have some fun before I headed off to school. I will be working there on my breaks from school though.

Don

Is the box of hair still available? I know that every college kid needs extra spending money. Let me know how the best way to get the payment to you.

good luckand great grades at school and remember one thing that piece of sheepskin is good for more than tying flies with it also means more money to buy supplies with Partying only on Friday night for satuday is for fishing and Sunday is for God.It will be the best years of your life.

just remember the preist that skipped church and went fishing. God let him catch a record and when the Angle ask why.God said “Who’s he gonna tell”

If there were a trout stream nearby I would just soak my head as hot as its been

Don,
Nice to hear you will be studying fish biology (maybe ya can talk some logic into some of these state DOW, idiots; at least with you I know the future of fly fishing is in good hands). Congrats on college, don’t pardee to hardy, & watch out for some of them East Coast women (unless they fly fish) !!!

John (somewhere in hell…Tucson)

Thanks everyone, the box of hair is gone.
