This pattern is a take-off from my Mega Leech pattern. For this pattern, I use wool roving for the body material. For the Mega Leech, I use a 3” piece of black Zonker strip from a Pine Squirrel. The body on the leech is large EP fiber dubbing brush wrapped to the bead-head. I fish both patterns with a short, quick 6” strip while lifting the rod tip a bit. This causes these patterns to pop up, then settle back down in a nose-down attitude. Both are great for LM bass here in Florida, but I suspect that almost all the freshwater predator species would find these attractive. Please feel free to ask any questions at all.
