Robin,
You should be getting my yarn any day now. Since we only had 6 swappers total, I sent the following for everyone.
sounds great Bubba!
Update - just got here Bubba, I am headed to put it all together now.
OK, the loot is all divvied up and on its way to the post office. ![]()
Got my boa today, my son opened it and I found the empty envelope first. “AHH!!! Where’s my yarn?!?”, I thought. Then I found it and everything was alright again. Whew! I figured it went in the trash and I was gonna have to go beggin’ ![]()
My son doesn’t read because of his disability. However, we share the same first name, he recognized the “T” and it was good enough for him. I can’t imagine what ran through his mind when he grabbed the yarn inside. ![]()
Kids are given to us in order to keep life from becoming mundane and ordinary. ![]()
Thanks for sharing everyone!
.
Robin,
Got yarn in the mail today. Interesting colors to try out.
Thanks everyone for sharing
Yarn came to Iowa. Thanks to Robin for hosting and all who participated.
Yarn arrived in northern MI in today’s mail. We’ll be using it on some bluegills, bass, maybe perch ion the very near future. Thanks to all the swappers, and especially to Swapmaster Robin.
Bill
(The little brooks are now too warm. Guess I’ve become Bluegill Bill.)
Wow!
Bubba, you may have created a new super bass fly. I haven’t had a chance to fish any Boa yarn flies yet, but just tied some using a few of the colors. Your “purple, shiny, eyelash” yarn makes a fly that sure looks like a miniature Calcasieu Pig Boat, the fly made famous by the late Tom Nixon of Louisiana. The Boa flies look good but the ones tied with your contribution look REALLY good. Thanks much.
Bill
Bill,
I thought that purple shiney stuff looked pretty good and it had goodmovement in the water. The only thing was when you palmer it up the hook single strand it was a little sparce.I found that when I double it and then wrap it fuilled everything in nicely. Probably would do better palmered over chenille or a dubbing body.
