Thanks guys! PM sent to Paddy since he replied first. Somehow I missed the hook keeper on last trip to Jann’s. The keeper is less than a buck at all the major rod building sites, but shipping is $6 and up (for a part that weighs the same as a stamp?)

On the last one I built I lost one of the guides and NO ONE here in CBus carries anything like this any more.
I was dispointed the MRO doesn’t keep anything on hand any more…they used to have a small box behind the counter and in fact just bought a tip-top from them about 6 weeks ago…
As luck would have it, I found one in my fly tying box…dunno why but it was there and what I needed.
BR, I checked MRO’s website first just to make sure. I know they used to have a few handle kits, reel seats a few other rod building stuff hanging on the back left wall by the books. But I didn’t notice any of that (although I wasn’t really looking) when I was in there a few weeks ago. At least the HK can be added last.
I figure it wouldn’t hurt to post a request on here. Worst case is, I have to order from somewhere on line and spend $20 on stuff I really don’t need to justify the shipping charge. Come to think of it I really don’t NEED another rod…Did I say that out loud???
