Big Zebra midge fly

Tied on a jig hook. Got panfish on this.

Nice, although Zebras are tied with thread bodies and sometimes a little dubbing up front; since I never tie them larger than #18 it’s just thread, wire & bead.

Found this worked better than small zebra midges on the panfish ponds around here.

rick, have you tried using holographic tinsel for the abdomen. two of the most effective midges around here are the ruby midge, and the rootbeer midge. they use red holograhic tinsel for the ruby and brown holographic for the rootbeer

Will have to try that.
