I caught the biggest steel I have caught to date! didn’t measure it but it was bigger and heavier than that 27 incher for sure by a lil! had a huge tail and was full of power!! caught it on a bling bling minnow I made. pearl flash chenile wrapped up the shanke and krystal flash wing!

haha! thanks REE and john I should have my own fishing show and have my cousin follow me around! lol. he also got one himself (1st ever!) but it wasn’t a pretty site. it was a mutant with one eye and smashed looking head with long lower jaw. kinda like a steelhead nightmare when you dream you catch a huge one and it looks looks freddy kreuger haha. but mine tho is by far the best looking and most colorful steel I have gotten so far. thanks guys for the comments. he fought pretty good! now that I got the feeling of catching um down I can tell how much pressure to use on um and can get um in pretty fast and with as little harm to um as possible… under 5 minutes or so. this one was still ready to go after I set him back! I held him and he was thrashing and full of power. held on for as long as I could 20 seconds or so and so long he goes!
here is what I caught the steel on. its a bling bling minnow after the cut… at 1st made it with chartruese flash on the top side and pearl on bottom which I thought was the top but the straight hook made it hook down it didn’t work so I clipped the chartruse off and caught a huge steel 3 casts later and gave to my cousin and next cast cousin caught his 1st ever. heres what the minnow looks like after you clip it. leave just a lil chartreuse flash under the chin. it worked for me! should ride hook point down cause of the straight eye hook? figured that out after tying clouser with um and all rode hook down. not what I wanted!!! if you wanna make it hook point up invert the colors and see it ya can get it to work.
