Best timeframe for Bahamian Bonefish

Hi,
I was wondering want the best time/month was to go fishing for Bahamian Bonefish. I want to plan a trip this year and I don’t know when the best time was. Also, if anyone knows of any good places to stay, I’m taking the wife so I would like a place that has a few more ammenities than just fishing. I would like to mostly wade fish, i’ll get a guide maybe 1 day. Thanks

I haven?t done the Bahamas but have fished Belize 9 times. I found that it is best to plan your trip during the week of the dark of the moon. Seems that the Bonefish will stay up all night feeding during the full and half moons. Also if you can find a month that the tides are high at around 9 AM it would help. You should be on the water by then and fishing.
Hope this helps…

You might start with our sponsor page. The BMT is a full supporter of ours. They have an excellent web site. Make sure you actually know how to ‘double-haul.’ As to the best, that is too subjective for me to answer.
We have been here a few times. http://www.deepwatercay.com/

Has anyone ever stayed at Pigeon cay resort or Island Hopp Inn? If so how are they.

Some say neap tides are best for bones. I like the west end of the middle bight Andros, however you can get there.

Best time is day time!, Just get there.
