As always Scott a great looking fly. Wish I could create heads like that (probably more practice and patience). I could be wrong (and usually am ) but that does not look like pheasant tail in the picture??? Could it be turkey wing material?

Thanks. It is pheasant tail; from the base of one of the secondary feathers in a tail clump. It does look like turkey but is a lot easier to acquire and cheaper.

Scott

SEE! I told you I was probably wrong!

It’s the same material I used to wing the Bredbo.

here’s what the feather for the wing looks like

Very webby and “sticky”, it holds it’s shape pretty well.

Scott
