Understanding certain bead material components are sometimes rare and as a result expensive, I inadvertently made the discovery that my so-called brass beads were magnetic. Not being a metallurgist, real brass is composed of copper and zinc but I suspect that certain makers are coating the bead base with the claimed outer materials. I haven’t tested my tungsten beads although it wouldn’t surprise me the I will get the same results. Comments?
