Figured I’ll try bamboo, so back in mid-March I won an Orvis Madison 7 1/2’ 2pc. bamboo rod for 6wt. Needed some cosmetic work and I couldn’t get the ferrules together, even after all the advice from users.
So, I called Orvis. Long story short, I sent it to them with instructions (phone) to treat it as if it was the artists’ rod. Nine weeks later a new!!! rod arrived Thursday, including a Lifetime Warranty to me! Naturally, I had to try it yesterday.
Now I have to take “2” rods with me, a fiberglass and the bamboo.
