For a number of reasons I am changing my annual cast and blast trip to the U.P. to my brother’s place on hogback lake just north of Evart. It’s only a few minutes to the Pine and I was wondering how it was fishing. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I tend to shy away from the Pine, too many canoers. But there is an access site West of Tustin that is above the canoe area.
I forgot all about that one!! Maybe I’ll give it a try. Took me awhile to remember where Hog Back Lake was (duh!!) I can almost hit it with a stone from here.
What time of year will you be there?
About 5 miles East of Hog Back is the Sunrise Bar. Good fish fry!
