News from the Atlantic Salmon Federation

The numbers are exceptional in many cases, and read how the weather has been helping in the past seven days. Reports are from Maine and New Brunswick to Labrador, and Quebec to Newfoundland.

The Atlantic Salmon Federation has partnered on a Trapnet Inititiave in the Labrador Aboriginal Fishery that promotes sustainable harvests and increase in large salmon returning to spawning beds. Read more:

I would love to see a massive return of Atlantics. Esspecially in Lake Ontario where I do my salmon/ steelhead fishing. I have only caught one from the river in 2 years.

The Lake Ontario fish are Landlocked Atlantics and not sea runs. The Landlocks are increasing slowly.
