This is a purple/black version of the Artificial Intelligence fly by Greg Senyo. It is the first fly in his book Fusion Fly Tying. The fly has 15 materials including the most expensive feather I have ever bought, the Lady Amherst tail feather.

Pretty fly!

I am working on an article about how expensive fly tying is. I have to tie 22 flies to match the retail price vs. the materials cost. May never publish the article. I donated three to the silent auction at the 2025 FFI Fly Fest. I gave a couple away during the demonstration tying. And I am giving one or two to a friend who has three Spey rods.

If I can get to the Pere Marquette. Muskegon, St. Jospeh in November, darn right I will fish it. Being a dark pattern it should also be good in the Spring. Again, same rivers and yes it is a fishing fly.

In the meantime, they are carded, numbered and signed by a not so and never will be famous fly tyer.
