Arnold's Improved Unabomber SBS

Wonder if this fly got it’s start on some of the streams around Lincoln, MT? Use it as a skwala or general attractor.

hook - Dai Riki 280 #10
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - moose body
abdomen - peacock herl
underwing - Krystal Flash pearl
wing - deer hair
head - 2mm foam grey
legs - medium rubber black
indicator - Hi-Viz orange

Part 1

Mash down barb, start thread at 80% mark, wrap back to bend

clean, stack, measure (gap width past bend) a clump of moose; tie in, trim, spiral wrap up to 80% mark and back to tail (open wraps create an underbody with a bit of positive buoyancy)

tie in a few strands of KF; fold and wrap back

Part 2

tie in a tapered strip (gap width) piece of foam; tip should extend halfway up the wing
