Another question about the Bivisible

Great thread about the 'ol bivisible. I’ve seen it with and without a tail. Which way do you like to fish 'em? Tail? No tail?

(If you like a tail, what material? length?)

Thanks for thoughts.

I prefer red tail.

Everytime I tie the Lady’s Fish Finder. It creates it’s own short tail if I put the hackle in the right direction. I like it a lot better with the tail than without. John

I wish you all everlasting flies and tight lines.

I like a tail too.
Always have used dark brown hackle fibers approx 1/3 the length of hook shank. Don’t know why.
Tried three different colors and two different sizes a few days ago on carp that appeared to be surface/subsurface feeding.
To make a long story short…they wouldn’t take the bivisibles or anything else I threw at em.
So it goes…my 1st attempt at carp on a fly.

I think it’s personal taste (but I like mine with a tail too).
