Great looking reels. Fine quality components and machining. Ron should further enhance their value by limiting production to, let’s say, about a million units.
I wish him good fortune in this venture. His reputation for meticulous craftsmanship assures success.
I’m a 67 yo retired school teacher, with 9, 11, and 16 yo daughters, so I won’t be buying any of Rons reels, or rods any time soon, (much as I might like to) but I can certainly appreciate their beauty. Would that everything we buy were as beautiful and functional. I do admit to being extreemly envious of those of you who do manage to get them. I also thank Ron for bringing them back into the world. As they say, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.”

There is a fine line between fly fishing, and standing in the water waving a stick.
I have only one word to describe those works of art by Ron Kusse,
SWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTT!!!
Man I’m drooling all over myself. You know the wifes Birthday is coming up soon, no wait that’s the daughters birthday, no wait it’s the cats birthday, ya that’ll work!
Hey honey, look what I bought Muffin for his birthday! Hehehehehe!!!
I want one of those so bad I’d sell my left #*% (toe) for it.
Terry: I don’t think Ron has pink andodized aluminum around to sculpture a #50 for Muffin your proxie fly fishermen. I just drove up to the corner gas station and bought a lottery ticket…I will be holding it tight in my hand tonight as the balls fall and my Ron Kusse reel will be paid for in full. The only other option is to sell my soul to the devel and fish my heart out with a very fine reel…I will have to go to confession tomorrow for that smark alec remark. Can I borrow yours when you get it?
Absolutely you can borrow mine, you did mean the cat… Right!
All tucked in and ready for bed, you see who’s getting spoiled in this house, so that should tell you where I rate! LOL!!!
This was the look on his face when I told him he was going to Michigan!
Hey, if the cat’s birthday gave me an excuse to buy a new Leonard 50 reel, and it worked with my wife, I will certainly loan him to you so you can get yours!
However, I will need Muffin back right after your wife allows you to order your new reel, or I may be finding a new location to live, Permanently! Quite possibly Manchester, Michigan!!! Hehehehehe!!!
Now if I can get a new Ron Kusse Custom Bamboo rod to go with that new reel, weeeelllllllll!!!

Once again, Ron Kusse has given the fly fishing world still yet another beautiful creation. It’s already been said but can’t be said enough, Ron Kusse is the epitome of excellence in fly rods and now in fly reels. What an absolutely beautiful piece of work. Congratulations Ron.
Just curious. Looking at the reel, what counterbalances the handle/knob should you hook up with a big ol’ Brown and he all but spools you? Wouldn’t that reel vibrate/shake quite a bit.
