Another Biscayne Redfish

another smoker today…sweet…very windy so I left after this beauty…batting 3 for 3 right now after 2 heartbreaking losses

I think you have successfully unlocked the secret of catching Florida Redfish. Leave a few around of the rest of us. Seriously, nice job! 8T

Great fish!! Can you tell me about the fly you used?

yes I can…I invented it…it is called the Electric Dread and I tye several colors…pink, orange, green, chartruse and purple…all produce bigtime but orange is in a league of its own…it has caught everything in Biscayne Bay…it is a fly that you can use for every species inshore with confidence…Electric Dreads and crab flys are the only flys I use on the flats…here are some pictures for you

Bone;

Would you mind sharing recipe ?

it is a long drawn out process…I have the info but was out of top shelve materials so I just tyed one so it is not as pristine as it could be…should I post it in the fly tying section instead of here?

Please send to me for Fly of the Week (FOTW) that will it will continue to live on in the archives instead of eventually dying from the Bulletin Board. Besides, anytime we can have a fly which uses different material or is tied in a different way it helps others to think outside the square box. Send to: publisher@flyanglersonline.com Please?

LF,

This would make a great Fly of the Week! 8T

I will tye one up tonight after work unless I have a afternoon charter which is weather pending…either way I will do it very soon…thanks for the interest

Even without the bandana across your face, I would have thought that you robbed the place.

John

??? I dont understand:confused:
the bandana is around my neck…the face protection is totally different and is BUFF headwear…I have several

A lot of guys who wear stuff like that end up in jail.

A member of our fishing club gave a presentation on skin cancer. Serious stuff!
I usually wear a boonie hat during my lunch outings now to help protect my face, neck, and ears.

guys that dont end up on the operating table at best…

Besides having my fly rod viewed with suspicion, local anglers tend to look at me
like I’m a retired member of the foreign legion,or maybe a soldier of the rising sun that just
crawled out of the jungles of Guam after 60 yrs.

Beautiful fish BTW!

love it!!!
