Do you want to join a swap but know that everyone else?s flies will be better than yours?
Do you have two dozen size twelve Kratville Caddis that you tied last year before you tied 12 good enough for a swap?
If so this is the swap for you.
The rules are simple
To sign up Email me at ericscouter@yahoo.com, I will know your name but nobody else will. (I promise not to laugh or tell)
Send me your dozen flies (they don?t have to be the same pattern) by January 15 2007, I will send them out by the 30th.
Send SASE big enough for your box. Return postage should be in stamps not metered.
Flies should have a toe tag listing what the fly is supposed to be, (some of mine would be hard to guess). Flies are to be fishable not perfect.
This swap is limited to twelve tiers including myself, yes you will be getting one of your own flies back, with out names this will be easier for me to sort.
If you have any questions email me, I will cut and paste your question and my answer so all of us can learn from it.
“if you have room add me to your swap it sounds like fun .”
Plenty of room for more swapers and we’re glad to have you.
“Put me in for a dozen of my finest rejects. This will be an interesting swap without knowing who’s entering. Should get the newbies involved without any intimidation.”
I’m sure your finest Rejects will be great, I am hopeing for a lot of new swapers.
“SUPER!!! Have no idea what I’ll tie yet …”
Tie whatever you wish, somthing your good at or experment.
“I am an okay tier. Have a few ideas about a fly and will probably go with the one that has worked best for me this year.”
That would be a great fly to tie, I think I am going to tie one that has worked well for me on blue gill and trout.
When ready, Send your flies in a crush proof container.

Hints for new swappers
Read the instructions carefully, if you don?t understand them email or pm the swap master.
Make sure your shipping box is big enough for 12 wooly buggers or equivalent with toe tags. (The first swap I did my return box was over flowing because I didn?t allow for this.) (if the swap is a dry fly swap or equivalent your box may be smaller. )
Make sure to address and Stamp (not metered postage) your return envelope.
If you are in a different country than the swap master please send international stamp coupons or cash for your return postage.
Don?t put off Tying till the last second, others are depending on your flies arriving on time so the swap can go smoothly.
Put a toe tag on the fly, for our swap this is the name of the fly for other swaps it would include the name of the fly, your screen name and possibly email address and real name.
Put your name on your box, (a return address label taped to the back works well. An added benefit is if your envelope is destroyed the post office will have a chance of returning your flies.
Enjoy your tying and if you have any questions email or PM me.
