An Urban Creek, 10-22-2020

Took the day off…looks to the be last 80-degree day of the year here…It was hot! I was parched, even though I brought water with me.
I visited the urban creek, hoping for more grass carp, gar, etc.
None of those showed up, so they are probably done for the year.
I only managed a few fish, 3 Largemouth Bass, 1 Bluegill, 1 Longear Sunfish, 2 Spotted Bass, and 2 Sauger. Nothing big…as usual.

And…things seen while fishing…
I saw a Garter Snake, and this Great Plains Ratsnake

this freshwater clam shell is possibly the most beautiful I’ve seen:

Excellent photos Dave!

Dennis

Thanks, Dennis!
I don’t know why the sauger pictures turn out as big as they do…I’d make 'em a little smaller if I could. It appears they pictures are being held to a certain width, regardless of height. Apologies to everyone.
Maybe it would have been better to combine several images together into a single image, like I did with the spotted bass. Lets see if that makes them easier to view:

Cell phone cameras are so handy and high quality images… Wish we’d had these when I was younger, too!

Yeah, that’s probably better. I’ll try to keep that in mind for the future.

I like your stuff Dave…no matter how it comes out! GRAND posts you do.

Thank you, Lee! I really do appreciate hearing that.
