Anyone catch American Chopper last night? Paul and Mike went fly fishing with Jim Murphy and the Crew from Albright Tackle. This segment was included in the Sunoco Bike episode 6/19/2006 & wasn’t real long. They taught Mike to cast and he caught a few fat trout from a stocked pond. Paul apparently could already cast and he landed one as well. Their stream manners could use some refining
Nice to see the boys getting schooled by Albright!
Hate to admit it but I caught the show
too.G Some healthy looking fish but
somewhat like shooting fish in a barrel.G
Poor Mikey does take it tough at times and
Paul Senior wouldn’t be my choice for father
of the year.G I imagine that in real life
they are quite different and chuckling all
the way to the bank. Warm regards, Jim
Saddle bags designed like creels. A big salmon fly design on the seat. The fuel tank painted by Nubby with a water scene of a stream with a trout leaping from the water. And the fly rod " whup antenna " rrhyne56 mentioned. Another nice idea for the air box would be to design it to look like a fly reel.
Well the saddle bags would have to hold waders on one side and the tackle box/vest on the other. Definately a Fly Reel Air Filter. Maybe the wheels could be CNC machined to have arching fishes going around the rim.
The saddle would have Tetons embossed on it. Gotta have a 5-7 piece knock down flyrod that hides inside the frame somewhere.
Helmet has to look like a fly fisherman’s hat with flies all over it-same with leather riding vest.
Helmet did someone say helmet? Hey JC I thought you didn’t allow cussing in here. Definate fly reel air filter. Saddle bags looking like the old style creels, 180 spoke rimms no alumimin, 12 inch t-bars, 1/2 inch reverse rake, softtail frame, one side of tank high mountain stream, other side of tank high mountain lake with a eagle, both fenders some of the best flies here from our fly tying forum, and last but not least in memory of Al Cambell engraved on the billit cover. Just my thoughts
I have seen a few (stuffed) ‘Prairie Pike’ in Montana. Strongly resembled a Pike with two pair of chicken feet attached. That thing, however, is strange!
when i worked with my Dad, it was much like that. Dad what are you doing. Nick how has been doing this for 30 years, im the boss do what i say and so on. But it was fun and rewarding most times. I learned alot and have much resepct for my Father.
Cool looking critter. I thought I saw something like it running through woods while I was napping in my deer blind.
Motorcycle fly fishing is a lot of fun. I use my 1200 Sportster to carry all of the gear I need. I’m heading back to Sturgis on it this August and I’m camping out at Deerfield Lake near Hill City, SD. We caught a lot of fish there in 2004 and I’ve got the same campsite reserved for this trip.

Jtaylor,
If you get the chance, check out the new Harley store in Hill City! And while in town, try the Bumpin Buffalo restaurant!
There’s also a new Harley store in Deadwood.
Betty
I’ll be sure to check out the new Harley Shops in Hill City and Deadwood. Hopefully they don’t have too many good deals during bike week because I’ll have to figure out how to ride two bikes home. Of course my wife would kill me but I suppose there are things worse than death.
We’ll be looking for snacks too. Thanks for the tip.----------John
