You folks who use Albolene as a dry fly floatant, how do you prefer to keep it so it’s accessible onstream? Do you repack it into an (Aquel/Gink for example) retail container? Do you just pack it in or maybe melt it to fill the dispenser ??
It doesn’t appear to be readily “squeezeable” to me so I’m curious. I’m going to give it a try.

I use a film canister to store my albolene as well as my Fuller’s Earth mixture.
I repack it into a Gink type squeeze bottle and carry it upside down…
It will liquefy a little in the heat.
I also usually have some dissolved in lighter fluid so I can dip a fly in it…the lighter fluid evaporates…

Do you dip while the fly is tied to the tippet, or before you tie it on? I have hear that the lighter fluid affects the tippet
Is that why those flies were floating down the river

Have done it both ways with no problems with the tippet…in fact, I have done it mostly after desliming the fly…drying in powder and then dipping…probably could just dip it but I’m compulsive…
