airflo ridge supple tactical

Has anybody used this line?

I have this line in WF6F that I use on my Sage Z-Axis 9’6" 6 wt. It casts good but for some reason I cannot keep this line floating. I use their recommened “Whiz Lube” and it will last maybe an hour before needing to be reapplied. It has lots of memory in that it lays in a continuous “S” which is not bad if you are fighting lots of drag, but I usually use this line on stillwater and I generally would prefer a straighter line. I’m going to give it one more season to see if I can figure out how to make it perform up to advertising. That’s it so far–.

I have their Ridge Supple Impact taper on several reels, from 5 to 8 weight. The Impact, I believe, is more of a bullet-head design than the Tactical taper, but I’m sure it behaves the same. Love the Ridge design as opposed to the SA Sharkskin; you can see the ridges on the smaller (2-4) wt lines, but on the larger ones it’s nearly invisible.
It’s far and away the limpest, least kinky line I’ve ever used. Like a soft cotton twine in your hand. A great casting and shooting line, but, as DL says above, not the best floater in the world. I use it for indicator fishing in FW and for throwing streamers and such in shallow SW flats, so I don’t particularly care if the tip sinks a bit. So I guess it depends on your intended use.
Ebay has some great deals going on Airflo Ridge lines right now.
