On October 1st, I will start offer the “Beginners Only Fly Swaps” for the the months of November , January 2013, February 2013, March 2013 & April 2013. (I do not hold a December Swap because of the three holidays that run during this period of time)
Only 10 positions are available for these 5 swaps.
I supply the pre-addressed mailing envelopes both for mailing the fly patterns in as well as the returns. I supply the “Russell Stover” box for the submitted fly patterns. I supply each member of the these 5 swaps with the toe-tags to be placed on each of the submitted flies for all swaps. I send a monthly fly swap fly pattern listing of all submitted fly pattern submitted for each of the fly swaps to the members of this years Beginners Only Fly Swap Members. I supply a CD of every fly pattern that has ever run on FAOL in pdf format (requires the free adobe reader for viewing). I also offer FAOL CD to any of the other members of FAOL who do not current have this CD, and to those who would like to update to a more current CD.
November Swap is a Soft Hackle Fly Pattern (can also be a Tenkara).
January Swap is a Nymph Fly Pattern
February Swap is a Dry Fly Pattern
March Swap is a Streamer Fly Pattern
April is a Terrestrial Fly Pattern
These swaps are open to all Newbies in fly tying, and to those who have never participated in other fly swaps on FAOL.
I have been host these annual fly swaps for the over 12 years now on FAOL.
There is no cost for these fly swaps, other then the coverage of your postage for mailing in and return mailing.
