looking for a materail list for this adam’s wet fly
The materials list for an Adams wet would be…
Thread: Black
Tail and hackle: Grizzly and brown hackle (mixed)
Abdomen: Grey Rabbit or Beaver dubbing
Wing: Grizzly hackle tips
from your picture I would say that it is grizzly hen wings with probably muskrat dubbing. the questionable part is the tail and hackle material. My best guess is grey partridge feathers for both.
Seems to me we have an Adams wet on FAOL, you might try a search on the main/front page.
That is a beautiful fly. A little junk in the trunk, but otherwise, its pretty much perfectly done. Awesome tie.
