A Good Leader for Pike?

I didn’t want to hijack someone else’s post, so I’ll start here.
Whenever I see somebody asking about a good leader for pike I keep thinking the answer might be “Cromwell”.
We now return you to fly fishing.

It seems earlier in our history, many people thought Pike (Zebulon) was a good leader and named a mountain after him. He probably would not have cared for Cromwell.
