Steve,
How do you like the Diamond II. I’m almost out of my current finish(about 3 rods left). i was thinking of trying either the Diamond II or the new Mudhole ProKote.

Is that blank what American Tackles calls their “Classic” line?

cheffy I’ve been using the Diamond II for the past 6-7 months now and love it. Before that I use to use Threadmaster. Diamond II has the same characteristics as Threadmaster with one bounus that I like, it seems to have a bit longer pot life than TM. The owner of Diamond II is Silvia Davis (Bullard International) and shes a great person to talk to/deal with. If you want to try some of it just give her a call (832) 656-6499 and she’ll take care of you. Tell her that Steve sent you and she’ll probably throw in a few freebie things like syringes and other things for you as well.

Sorry forgot to answer that- Nope not the classic series. The classic series were a bit more moderate action. What these are were a special run that American Tackle did for a company and the company did not take all of the blanks so I was offered what they had left from the special run of blanks.

Thanks Steve,
I was just reading some reviews of ProKote and it sounds like it’s taking a long time to start setting.
I’ve been using TM and like I said I will probably be out by the end of the month with all the builds I’ve got going on.
I’m trying to sneak one in for myself so maybe I’ll try Diamond II on that first. That way if I screw it up it’s just me I have to answer to.

Steve, that’s one sweet looking rod! Love the color combination on those wraps.
