8 Days on the Eastside (Sierras) PT & Son...

Spent eight days with my son Michael and his girlfriend, Aimee in Bridgeport, CA. Between the three of us, we took over 1000 photos…part of it will go to a project for a website in San Francisco that Aimee is working on. Here are a few photos of our Trouting…I will put the patterns that slayed up in the Fly Tying section…

The view coming off the East Walker River in the evening…

Michael with a Brown that took an Amber KF Guide Serendipity during the Baetis hatch…most people don’t fish the Amber Caddis that are present and coming off sporadically at the same time…

Lower Hot Creek, before it flows into the Upper Owens River…

It was cold, windy and snowing on occasion. One of the BEST fly fishing trips I have been on with lots of fish to new patterns and a special time with my boy…

Really cool! With alot of Montana blowed out from runoff I’ve been considering new alternatives for a trip.

Beautiful trout as well as pretty pictures.

Thanks for the post and taking the time to share your pictures. I actualy day dream looking at them.

Do you camp on these outings or use a lodge?

Thanks again,
Sean

Nice photos and fish.

Hey Planettrout, what kind of vest are you wearing? I’m in the market for a new one.
Bruce

Planettrout; Thanks for the great pics and report. Looks like you all got into some great fishing. Well Done Sir

The weather in Bridgeport, CA was cold, windy and often snowy. We stayed at the Silver Maple Inn…Michael’s girlfriend Aimee, came over from San Francisco with a load of camera equipment for a shoot she is doing on Michael and I for a SF Website. Most mornings, the vehicle looked like this:

PT/TB

Both my son and I are wearing Simms G3 Vests…He is wearing the older model and I treated myself to this one for the trip and upcoming ones. They must be broken in by wearing them. Off the rack, they are quite stiff…

They hold a load off stuff !!!

PT/TB

Pt,

Thanks for the report. Hopefully heading up there this fall. What a great place to fish.
