3 downsized variations of a fly

Those look like variations of the Tullis Wiggler I posted a while back.

A few thoughts:

  • I’m not sure that foam is thick enough to give the lip enough rigidity to get the wobble, but I can’t tell what size these flies are. I’ll be interested to see what you find out.
  • The 2nd version looks like it has the best angle of the foam to get the desired results.
  • Cutting the angle of the lip of the foam has produced good results for me…but I’m not sure that’d work on thin foam like this.

On a size 10 aberdeen hook with 2mm foam. These with a ot of other flies did not work last week.
They did get some wobble.

This is a better photo for showing the angle I used on the larger Tullis Wobbler’s I tied.

…one thing I’ve changed: I am making the angled cut on the the outside, from the hole where the hook eye comes through, to the tip of the foa.
