When I was dropping Jerry off (forth birds) at his camper near the bridge of Beaver Creek, I told him that I already had the write up done. It would read: We came; we saw, we fished, we caught.
Sitting here staring at that though doesn’t seem to do the fish-in justice. I left Saturday morning early, hoping to get to the Campfire Lodge around noon. By the time I arrived my mind was rushing with the possibilities to come.
I finally found your write up and enjoyed it very much.
My friend, Gene Koshak and I were on the Madison during the time you were there. We did some fishing below $3 bridge and I think we were there on the day you floated the Madison.
Most of our fishing was above the Raynold’s Pass Bridge. We have access through this area from the landowners that we know. So there is very little competition from other fly fishers.
I was thinking of coming up to check in with the Fish-In, but our plans were to fish with Gary Borger.
