BIG FISH
I have a confession – I never have been a big fish fisherman. Over the course of my years throwing flies into various types of water I have hooked and landed a few big fish, but as a matter of course I don’t spend time trying to catch them.

ABOUT THAT TRIP
Cleaning out some stuff I came across an August '07 issue of Fly Fishing Trade magazine. I believe it is no longer in print, but it was a 'house organ' produced for the fly fishing business. One of the neat things on the cover was "Jack Dennis Turns Forty" with a profile of his shop featured in this issue, (his shop was forty, not him personally).

NO IDEA
It has rained again. That means that the canoe is out for getting almost anywhere. Many of the places I might hike into are just too muddy to make it in. We’ve had a lot of rain quick and then a steady rain after that.

ADAPTING
If you fly fish you are by your very nature adaptable. You may be a hide bound dry fly fisherman who refuses to try any other kind of fly fishing but you are still adaptable. Think about it, if you are fishing a pale watery dun and not catching fish you may try a Greenwell's Glory or even a Royal Wulff.

ARIZONA PEACOCK LADY
This fly was introduced to me by my friend Gemrod, I did some research on it and found many variations have been done to it. I tried to keep it as original as possible. Word has it that the fly is an effective little streamer in the mountainous area where Gemrod lives in Arizona. I want to thank him for the gentle prodding he gave me to tie it, because it’s also VERY effective here in the east.
