Tying Instructions:
1. Place beads on hook and insert into vise.
2.Tie on behind beads and tie in the tail. Build up the a hump with
the thread to assist with splaying the biots.
3. After tail is in place build up thread so that the beads can't slip
over the tail and tie off (add head cement at tie off point).
4. Tie in in front of beads.
5. Tie in a 2-inch piece of swiss straw.
6. Dub the first section of the thorax (use a rather thick dubbing so
that when its picked-out there will be lots of dubbing to work with), fold
swiss straw forward to form the first segment of the wing case, fold swiss
straw back onto itself (to position for the second segment of the wing case,
dub some more, fold swiss straw forward to form the second segment of the
wing case, fold swiss straw back onto itself (to position for the third
segment of the wing case, dub some more.
7. Tie in a hen neck hackle by the tips and wrap 2-3 times, while
folding the hackle barbules rearward. Tie off hackle and trim excess.
8. Fold swiss straw forward to form the final segment of the wing case.
Tie off Swiss straw and trim excess.
9. Tie in antennae. The antenna are tied in one at a time and should
be shorter than the tail.
10. Tie-off and apply head cement.
11. Carefully pick-out dubbing on the thorax to create a buggy look.
