Fishermen are born honest, but they get over it.
When a fisherman is going to tell you about the big musky he caught,
he knows you will subtract ten pounds to allow for his untruthfulness.
So he adds ten pounds to allow for your subraction.
The other ten pounds he adds on account of being such a liar.
Then he adds five pounds for good measure because what is five
pounds more or less on such a big fish?
As a matter of fact, he didn't even catch that musky. He
found it floating belly-up.
It died laughing at a Hokum's DeLuxe Weedless Streamline Hollow-ground

Lizzie Greig, the Gal Fly-tier of the Angler's Roost, was born in
Scotland on the River Tweed. It was too late at night to borrow the
greengrocer's scales, so they used the one her father used for salmon.
She weighed 34 lbs., 5 ozs. ~ Ed Zern
