Peppermint Bark
By Rick Zieger

This is a quick easy thing that I like too much to make it very often.

Take a large Candy Cane, or several smaller ones. Put them in a plastic baggie and crush them with a hammer to get the size pieces that you want in the candy. A blender will usually make a fine powder, I don't like it as much that way.

Break up a package of white almond bark in a glass bowl. Heat it for 30 seconds in the microwave. Stir with a wooden spoon. Leave the spoon in the bowl and heat for another 30 seconds. Stir again. Continue to do this until the almond bark is melted. Short times will keep the almond bark from burning.

Stir in the crushed candy cane.

Spread on wax paper that you have on two cookie sheets. You will want this to be fairly thin. Let cool for a while and then break it up to store and eat some of it. ~ Rick
