Rookie Cookies
By Denny Conrad

    2 eggs (I use 3)
2 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
    2 C. sifted flour
1 C. melted butter or margarine (2 sticks)
    1 tsp. Baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    ½ tsp. Salt
    4 C. regular rolled oats
1 C. chopped nuts (I like cashews or walnut pieces)
1 C. shredded coconut (sweet stuff) toasted
    ½ C. raisins
I like to add Butterscotch morsels, about 1 C.
    ½ c. water (about)

Method

1. Beat eggs: blend in sugar and butter.

2. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir into mixture.

3. Stir in remaining stuff, mix thoroughly. Use enough water to moisten well.

4. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake in moderate oven (350 F.) for 13 to 15 minutes.

5. Makes about 6 dozen. ~ Denny
