Dump Cake

Very delicious and takes about 5 minutes. Soooo…simple, quick and easy. Simple as 1-2-3.

Ingredients:

    (2) 21 oz. cans of pie filling, example Wal-Mart Comstock Cherry Pie filling (or blueberry, apple, or peach)

1 box of Betty Crocker white or yellow cake mix

1 stick of butter (4 oz.)

9x11 cake pan (I cooked mine in a 9x11 cheap aluminum roaster pan)

Instructions

    1. Pour pie filling in pan.

    2. Sprinkle cake mix over cherries, spread even with a fork.

    3. Cut butter into 16 slices and spread around on top.

Bake…approx 350 for 30 minutes…watch and figure it out for your oven. Could be 375 for 20 minutes, what ever.

Bear in mind all you are doing here is browning the top. The cherries will heat up and the butter will melt. So all you are looking for is a golden crusty surface. ~ Gemrod
