I saved the skin and tail. I salted the skin, and had them on the work bench in the garage. My kids left the garage door open, it rained, and the skin and tail got wet, so now it's ruined.

Never heard of a little water hurting a skin--First you should wash the skin to get the blood dirt etc out then BORAX IT. 20 mule team sold in grocery stores. I never use salt,that only adds more moisture. BILL
