Zap-A-Gap Solvent?

I’m tying a wooly worm with a wooly worm trailer contcted with 12lb. mono. connecting the trailer to the front fly the zap-A-Gap ran down the thread hit the ceramic bobbin and made a mess of the opening andthe thread. What will remove the glue and not damage the ceramic tube? Thank you in advance.

A friend of mine who builds model suggested Z-7 Debonder, a debonding agent for Super Glue.

Hi Coach,

Try fingernail polish remover (the acetone type). I think it will work.

You should be able to just flick it off the tube. I doubt it will really stick to the polished ceramic or metal surface. Just use your bodkin to chip it off.

Used the Acetone. Worked great. I was concerned about damaging the ceramic insert if I tried to chip it out. Thank you Robb
