Joe tells me he is not going to be making his leaders any longer–Lucky for me I have 6 in reserve ,- How many of you use threaded leaders , ---- I find them to be simply the best method for dry fly presentation , normally I use a long light tippet.-----And just because:- My casting improves every season ,-- I practice off the water ,–I use a very slow setup when I do get along the river bank,— I scout every inch of water before I cast, — always fish the water near me first,-- I very seldom enter the water until I find its better to do so, --and then I walk gently and always carry my favorite stick. — Just my standard method of operation… -------Todays region–
Hey Steve! Like you I’m a huge fan of furled leaders. Jack Hise and Brad (Kaboom1) turned me on to them several years ago at one of the Michigan Fishin’s. Jack even sold me a furling board so I can make my own. If your current stock gets thin let me know and I’d be delighted to send you a few. Take care and keep enjoying that retirement!
Thanks Joe I will do that–Cheers
Must be in excess of 20 yrs since I bought a leader. Sold a few but I always use a furled leader except when I can get away with a short straight mono or flouro leader.
