Sulphur wet fly/Emerger

I’m looking for patterns that can be used as a sulphur emerger/wet fly to swing or drift, and at the same time be ginked up to fish in the film. Always looking for something easy to tie and different.
Thanks,
Bruce

You already have mine Bruce.

yep, I do and I’ll be using I’ll tomorrow.

soft hackle!

Ok. Gotta pattern?

You might try one like this. Sorry, couldn’t find small enough hackle this morning.
Tail is widow web; abdomen is turkey biot; thorax is superfine dubbing; hackle is light dun; loop wing is CDC.

Kelly Glissmeyer’s Half-back PMD emerger is a good one, just adjust the colors as you see fit:

Pheasant-tail softhackle would probably work well, too. I tied this one with ostrich for the hackle:

This is a smooth bodied turkey quill soft hackle that might work for you.

A partridge and yellow would be a suitable soft hackle pattern. Snipe and yellow, or moorhen and yellow would be some alternatives that should be fine. Mallard wings have some nice dun feathers on them that make good soft hackles too, and that would be good for this. If you want a lighter body than the bright yellow, then Primrose would be good (Uni thread’s light cahill is primrose). A Greenwell’s Glory would be a good wee wet to swing about too.

Perhaps a Stillborn version - although on the surface/in the surface.

puff daddy’s , thread body, dun CDC wing tied as a soft hackle ,ad dry magic for dry or without for emerger

ps: add very lite dubbing for the body, worked last season during suldhur hatch
