Some Beaded Buzzers

Here are some Beaded Buzzers I tied some time ago.
I was looking through some bead patterns and decided to take some pictures.
A size 16 hook.

A size 14 hook.

A size 14 Drennan hook.

A size 12 hook.

They are all really still-water flies, but as singles, could be stream fished.

The first one is my favorite! Nice flies Donald!

Those buzzers look great! They would work here on our tailwaters too!

Most of the time, I think beads are a crutch for newbies that cant get their patterns deep enough.

Nice looking flies, Donald! I’ve been playing around with glass beads for a couple of years now, love the way the light comes through them.

[b]Donald,
I’m going to tie the White Bead Buzzer with one bead up front and a body composed of midge tubing wraps. Our local bluegills like flies with a soft mouth-feel and the change should do very well. Adding a dorsal stripe of Krystal Flash in rootbeer, chartreuse or red should also work well. A collar of ostrich herl might be called for, as well. I’ll try to get some of them tied this week.
