Snow in Big Fork Montana

This in today from Jim Johnson, (doublehauler)
“been snowing since nine am, now almost ten pm!
Whoopie, Springtime in the Rockies!”

JC,
I just heard that Snoqualmie Pass in Washington, had a foot of snow and the road was plowed for the first time in 30 yrs at this date.

Strange how this global warming decdes to show itself.

Snow in June??? That’s pretty cool. We just got finished with nasty T-storms, 70 mph winds, massive lightning strikes, some water spouts and a possible tornado here on Long Island…I’ll take the snow, thanks! (plus, it was 96 Degrees here yesterday…obviously a front came through)

That is good to see. Those guys need as much water as they can get. It looks like the western states might not have to worry about getting tickets for watering their lawns this year!
I’m told by my friends in UT that they haven’t seen the lakes and reservoirs this full in years.

I heard yesterday that this has been the coldest June on record for the Pacific Northwest.

It has been cold and rainy for weeks here in Bozeman, and yesterday we had an incredible thunderstorm in the morning, immediately followed by hail/snow (immediately as in it didnt even stop raining, just kind of switched and the thundering continued). I do love this weather though.

Hi JC,

After no appreciable rain for the past month and temperatures in the very high nineties for the past ten days that picture is looking very appealing to some members of the Southeast contingent. 8T

Although we did not get snow here is idaho it has been unusally cold. nothing in the garden is doing well cause of the cold weather. Just wish it would warm up a little. Doesn’t have to be in the 90’s just in the high 70’s or 80’s would be nice.

Would gladly forego the heat, torrential downpours and tornadoes for some cool weather and even some snow! But you all wouldn’t want them either!!

Can’t mow the lawn. Why shovel it’ll melt soon enough. Might as well go fishing.

We had a record low this morning in Idaho Falls - 33F compared to the old record of 37F from 1975. Also had some snow on the ground, but not nearly like what they got up in Montana.

Yesterday we had some really nasty winds, but they’ve settled down some, more like 20 mph than 40, gusting well above that yesterday afternoon. May be “calm” enough to get out and fish today.

Regardless, we are having it pretty good around here compared with so many other places, what with the record heat in the East, the floods in the Midwest, and some serious snow on the West Coast, except of course, California with one of the worst droughts on record !!

You know it’s Christmas somewhere every day!!

Give us some sunshine.I’m starting to feel like i’m living on the coast.
If it keeps raining and snowing here,i’m going to pack up and move into Castwells backyard.
At least then I might be able to find some semi clear water to fish.

AAHH, the next “Little Ice Age”! Ain’t global warming just grand? Yesterday at 6 P.M. our heat indices were in the 100-105F range, that’s 37.8-40.6C. I was riding my bike today and the Free Air Temperature was 86F/30C heat index 85F/29.5C Summer is here! Hurrah!

Scott, I know that read " - 33F " but, I don’t think you meant a negative 33… lol
