This large softshell was sitting on the trail. It didn’t try to run away. I took some pics and walked on by.
This big Snapping Turtle got hooked in the tail. Fortunately I was able to pop the hook free with my rod tip without having to beach it.

We hooked 2 and landed 1 thresher this weekend…and now WE have a new challenge…thresher on flies! Nothing, absolutely nothing, we have caught were as challenging or spectacular on the string.

Yes! Get one on the fly and share it on FAOL! That would be VERY COOL! I love the weird long upper tail fin lobe of a Thresher Shark.

Yes, Dennis, and there’s some flies hanging around there too. I don’t know what it is about the poo, but I’ve seen butterflies happily hanging it out on scat numerous times.
