Question on Zip Lock Availability

Hi All,

I have been looking for some small, maybe 2" by 3" zip lock bags. Not the small Wal-Mart Craft type bags, which I already have, and which are fairly flimsy.

My wife has ones for pills and other perscription drugs, etc., that are quite heavy duty, and look like they would be great for hooks, etc. for a travel fly tying kit. She can’t remember where she found them.

Also, do any of you know where zip lock bags of the size for saddle hackle can be purchased.

Any help on either of these would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks and regards,

Gandolf

A quick google search turned up this link, http://discountplasticbags.com/scripts/ZiplockBags.asp never used them and have no idea if they are what you are looking for but it’s worth a look.

They sell the bags in case lots and have all sizes and thicknesses.

Hope this helps.

try U-line company

My wife gets the small pill bags at CVS

Narco got it. The local drug store or market may be the best bet. After all there are people who put Narcotics in these bags and I bet they don’t buy them in bulk online all the time.

Tap Plastics sells an assortment of sizes of ziplock bags.

ZipLock has a small snack bag which I use and they also have the 1qt freezer bags which are quite heavy and fit my material nicely

American Science and Surplus http://www.sciplus.com/category.cfm/subsection/7/category/85 prices are for a 100 bags

another one is Lure Craft which has some good prices on them http://www.lurecraft.com/catalog/search.cfm just do a search on zip lock bags

I believe you can buy small quantities at Staples and similar stores

Gandolf,

Give these a try. http://flyreeldots.com/?mainURL=/store/category/fi49/ZDO_Feather_Craft_Bags.html

What I like about them is there is a zip lock on both ends of the bag so you never have to go against the grain of the hackle. 2-mil thickness and made in the USA. Ohio Tuber turned me on to them and I have to say WOW wish I thought of this. It is so simple to put stuff away and easy slips in and out and zips closed just like a zip lock should.
