I like to mess around with non-traditional materials create different patterns. I had some leftover Paracord, so a while back I decided to see if it worked okay for tying flies. It works great. With the exception of a bit of Crystal Flash and the 3D eyes, this is a single material pattern. I picked out the paracord and brushed it out to make the tail, Then I took the center cord out of a piece of the paracord and wrapped up to the eye of the hook and tied it off. I gave it a coat of epoxy to make it indestructable. Super simple and it works great in clear to stained water.
