How about a site for those of us with canoes instead of kayaks?

BBW:
Those kinds of sizing charts are useful to get you started as are old rules like you should be able to reach up and just curl your fingers around the end of a kayak paddle. But they may or may not work equally well for all. I am tall but most of my height is in my legs. If I use either of those rules I end up with a paddle that is too long when I am sitting in a touring kayak. There really is noting that works like experience. In my case, I went to my local paddling club one evening and tried every paddle that was there. Within an hour of fooling around I ended up with a paddle that was the right length and learned that I really did not like paddle flutter and which paddles did not do it. A high quality kayak paddle costs $100 to over $300 and it is worth spending the time to end up with the right one. I hope your’s works for you. I know my shiny new 220 cm Swift is perfect for me. Now if only the #%($ ice would melt.

I started with a 220 and I might as well have had a pencil in my hand to paddle with. Ithink a 240 is more like what I need.
