My SW Wisconsin Fishing Trip

I consider myself a lucky man. I live in Georgia and am able to afford to fly North once a year to fish with my buddies who live in Illinois. I miss them very much and look forward to the trip. We have fished in Southwest Wisconsin for the past 8 years and moving to Georgia was difficult enough for me and my family then you add moving away from my buddies and fishing in Wisconsin, well it was hard.

So, this past weekend was our trip. The weather was pleasant in the 60’s with overcast skies and some drizzle during the day. Good fishing weather if you ask me. We caught a great many fish mostly on ants and dropper nymphs but moslty caught up with one another and our lives. If I have done this correctly you can see some pictures below from our trip. I wanted to share this with my FAOL family.

Bobby,

It sounds like you had a great time and you deserve it. Great pictures! I looked that last picture over real good trying to find a 4-leaf clover, but, no luck!

Thanks for sharing the trip…

Okay, I’m jealous! I didn’t get my spring driftless fix this year and those pictures are really making me miss it!

Mojo,

Now I understand what you mean by narrow cuts you fish in Southwest Wisconsin :open_mouth:

Glad you had a good time with your buddies fishing and I like the pic’s.

There are no trout in Southwest Wisconsin.

Oh, and watch out for Amish flash mobs while antiqueing.

Wisconsin is one of my favorite places to visit, summer or winter…if I just didn’t have to drive across Illinois to get there. May have to explore a different route.

Great pics and fish bobby! Glad ya got to go and to enjoy it.

Head up through Iowa and stop in SE Minnesota before you head east to Wisconsin.
