Although it’s only a 3 hour drive, I have never gone there just to fish. Have you ever driven in Miami? It’s insane.

The first spot. No fish.
But it was cool to look across the vast expanse of the Everglades
The next spot. Name withheld due to the fact that we noticed the “park only open to residents, must have identification” while on our way out of the park. Anyways, it’s a little pond that holds peacocks. I went 1 for 2.

And found a nice shady spot to hang out
The next spot was around 45 minutes away. I watched a couple fish refuse my fly, so I switched to an black and orange clouser. I then missed two immediate strikes and hooked up on the third
You know that long canal that borders 41, that is accessible by the dirt road that runs along side it?
Since we had some daylight left, we hit it for an hour. Hooked 4, landed 3.
