Injured Foam Bluegill

This little guy is made from thin self-sticking foam that has white sparkles on one side. I color both sides with markers and give it a coat of two-part epoxy so it remains rigid. The lip makes it wiggle and dive about 1-2" below the surface when I strip it in. It represents a dying fish (bluegill) laying flat on the surface. Not difficult to make and give a great presentation for hungry predators watching for an easy meal.

I like that one.

James, check out Starbond epoxy. It’s UV resistant, flexible and non-yellowing.

Cool fly, thanks for posting it.

That’s a very good looking fly.

Thanks for the kind words. Calling it a fly is a bit of a stretch, but the bass don’t seem to mind too much. Take care and tight lines.

That is absolutely a fly, IMO.
