I remodeled my garage to accomodate my addiction and in the process I mixed up all my extra fly line. I read some where that one can wieght the front taper to determan the wieght of the fly line. I have a small digital scale that reads up to 600 grams and I think this should help. Can anyone help with the proper wieghts for line sizes.

Talk about an inexact science!
Technically you have to measure the first 30 feet of line MINUS the front level portion.
Second, there is an acceptable range within the line standards and the weight can vary by manufacturer by several grains, If I was you, I’d get the manufacturer’s info first, and then do you best with this:
